With about two weeks before ZombieFest we are spending more time getting things together and doing different things. We will be having a table at the festival, Tom will be doing make-up of various types and we will be selling things like yummy zombie cupcakes from Chef Nicky. We are very excited for the opportunity that ZombieFest provides for us. I personally love everything Zombie Fest has each year and seeing it get bigger and bigger. Right now New Jersey has the world record for the largest gathering of zombies with 4,093 participants. Pittsburgh needs to beat that right? We need to gather together and take back the title of largest gathering of zombies. Who wouldn’t want to be a zombie for the day??
This year Zombiefest has a new locations! Instead of being in Market Square it will be in the West End Village. Admission is free, but there is a charity they are taking donations for: Greater Pittsburgh Food Bank, so if you plan on coming to the fest, please bring a non-perishable food item to help this cause. I know I’ll be bringing a few items. There are many things happening at the fest, as it does every year. Instead of just vendors there will also be live bands like The Graveyard Rockers and Weird Paul. Like eating things? Then take part in the brain eating contest or even the best scream contest and let everyone hear your best scream.
One of the awesome things about zombie fest is you get to meet someone new every year, and see something new each time you go. Last year there was a woman with a crystal ball, I didn’t get a chance to check out her stuff, but it still would have been interesting to check out. There was also the Zombie-mobile which looked awesome to drive lol. Zombiefest is a great promotion for the city, it helps people see what the Steel City has to offer and the groups they can join and be a part of. It is perfect for social gathering and getting to know other people with like interests. And I mean its being a zombie for a day who wouldn’t want that or to be a part of getting the world record in Pittsburgh? I think that needs to happen don’t you?

These are from last year’s zombiefest, I think the Master Chief sneaking through the crowd of zombies was funny. If I wanted anyone on my team during the zombie apocalypse it would be him, but at the same time the one person I would want to avoid should they become a zombie is Master Chief. But then again I already know I would be among the first people eaten…Im not very fast.
