Well our next convention is Tekkoshocon, our home convention. We are very excited for Tekko this year as it will be in the David L. Lawrence Convention Center. There is so much more space and opportunities for photoshoots and panels and meeting new people. I am excited to see what artists from the area and beyond will bring to the artist’s alley and the art show. The Tekko website lists the guests, which I checked today. I almost squealed when I seen Tony Oliver. What an anime icon! None other than Rick Hunter from Robotech. Robotech was one of the first anime I ever watched when I was in 2nd grade. I had a little kid crush on Rick Hunter (should I be embarrassed by that?) So excited, I didnt get the chance to meet him at Anime USA a few years back, but believe I will be seeing him this time!
I plan on cosplay Athena from Saint Seiya. It is a simple dress that will take some time to do, but when I get it done, it will be really beautiful. From there I can expand to make her armor and what not. I am excited to see what other people will be doing for cosplays at Tekko, I am sure they all be fabulous! With each week that passes I get more and more excited to see what Tekkoshocon has to offer us this year. I wonder what panels will be there, main events. I can’t imagine the new friends I will make. Old ones I will get to see again :). I always get excited around a convention. I would definitely see what the actors and performers come up with this year for Masquerade, all the skits last year were well thought out and executed.
