Sculpting Project

A little while ago I posted a blog about working on making my own pieces for jewelry: a tri-force, pokeball, pac-man and a ghost.  I had thought I would sculpt everything nicely and be able to make pretty earrings and necklaces.  What I didn’t realize was how much work goes into sculpting something and how difficult it is when I don’t fully know how to do this. I am trying to learn things on my own by playing with the different tools Chef Tom has.

I admit I am getting frustrated that it is not turning out how I want them too.  Its one thing after another that is making them not finished yet.  My pokeball which I thought would be one of the easier ones to do is proving difficult.  I tried working on it for a little over an hour tonight and I don’t seem to have gotten any farther than I was when I started. Since I have to hold my tiny pieces I keep getting finger prints on them…how am I supposed to work on it without getting finger prints on it?  Or smooth out the clay without getting finger prints on it.

Until next time……>_<
