This was my first year at Saikoucon. We stayed in the Villa’s at the Split Rock Resort. The Villa’s were pretty nice but this place is off of the map and don’t expect any cell phone service or wifi. The resort food was good and affordable and there is a free shuttle service that will take you to all the locations around the area. The layout was a bit spotty but once you got used to it. It was not so bad. I met a lot of new cosplayers at this convention who were simply awesome. It was a small crowd but I tend to like the smaller conventions. I got to see Jessie Pridemore on Sunday and talk with her for a while. She was super awesome and if you don’t know who she is I would highly recommend checking out her work at Rufflebutt Cosplay. Overall this con has a lot of potential and I would like to see more things happen with it.
