We are home from the convention and I am thinkng back on the weekend and it was an amazing weekend. Otakon never ceases to amaze me and make me want to keep coming every year. A lot of what really make the convention was the experiences I had there, the memories I made with my friends. Looking back we can say “remember when at Otakon….” There were so many cosplays we seen that we thought were completely amazing, such as a 1940’s Captain America in the style of a pin up model. She was absolutely gorgeous! There were cosplays that made me laugh such as a group of three people dressed up as Pokemon gameboy cartridges; blue, red and yellow. The ride home was a lot of fun as well.
Otakon is such an amazing convention, it astounds me each year the things they pull off and the things I get to see. I got to meet Peter Beagle who wrote “The Last Unicorn,” and got his autograph for Kate, I also go to sit and listen to the upcoming projects for Sunrise and Daisuki.net (more on that later). I enjoyed hearing what is coming up in anime in the future, makes me excited and I know what to keep my eye out for.
I am glad our cosplay came out nice even if we did have some minor issues with parts of the costumes, but there are ways we can fix what went wrong (again more later). The convention center is a beautiful setting with so many places all around that make Baltimore the prime location for the convention. It is a beautiful city to have a backdrop for some photoshoots and so many gorgeous places for the shoots such as their water fountain. Though I will always be bias to Pittsburgh.
