Shortly after leaving Katsucon I began reading a manga I bought while there, the second volume to Alice In The Country of Hearts. After reading the first one, I fell in love with the story, so of course I needed to read the second one. The second volume had a snipet of Alice in The Country of Clover which I am very interested in starting. We are introduced to Joker (I think he might come in Volume 3 of Country of Hearts too) and I instantly fell in love with him. I loved his costume and his character. Didn’t see much of him, but enough to know I wanted t make him into a female character.
I started thinking of different ideas to make his costume into a female
version and I even found a wig that I would love to use for this cosplay. I thought of his pants being stockings and the diamond checkered wrap around his waist I would make into a skirt, and the jacket remaining the same. I have all the ideas in my head, I just cannot seem to get them down onto paper to draw. That is one of my downfalls of designing and thinking things, I cannot seem to be able to get them from my head down onto paper. I can just find things that look how I am imagining it in my head.
I also wanted to work on my Peter White cosplay and try to make it a little more feminine with a different wig and doing the skirt differently. I would like to redo the jacket, but it’s fine I don’t. I want to make it look better than what it is now because I had such high hopes for it and when I did finish it, it wasn’t what I wanted it to be and I know that is a part of being a cosplayer. Hopefully I can work on getting my ideas out and make Joker an amazing cosplay.
