The past few weeks I have been watching the whole series Avatar: The Last Airbender on Netflix while I do various things around the house. I never really watched the full series, I don’t even remember where I quit, but I highly enjoy the series and the movie I thought was very well done. Though I understand why some people felt a lot was left out, which there was. I have been attempting to sculpt little medallion of the different element symbols like the one Katara wears.
Theses are what I am basing my design from. I am able to do the water and the air ones, but I am struggling with the fire and earth symbols. I can’t get the base of the earth one right where it rounds off to a rectangular shape, and the fire I just cannot seem to get it to look right. Nothing with the fire symbol look remotely close to what it should be. I need to practice it more, but then once I get the drawing down, I need to sculpt it and that is where my fears are. I am not sure I will get it to look good enough to make into a nice piece of jewelry like a necklace or a bracelet. I would love to make the choker that Katara wears and the necklace Aang gave his mentor. I think those would look nice. Well with all things I need to practice and just try to see how things will look. Thats the only way I will get it to work out right?
