The Count Down Begins

Last night I realized Tekko is quickly approaching.  I was beginning to go through anime convention withdrawal, so I am very excited for Tekkoshocon also because it is here in Pittsburgh.  It also means three weeks to finish up my cos-play I am working on.  In the coming weeks I keep checking back to see who the guests are and I am very excited to see Exist Trace is one of the bands who will be there, though I haven’t heard them yet I am anxious to hear them and hopefully add them to my list of favorite bands.

I am kind of sad my panel got rejected, but there were so many wonderful and exciting panels that got submitted, it was only natural that some would be denied.  I can always try again next year.  I cannot wait to see some of the panels this year including the ever popular Gaia panel; I wonder what the hosts will come up with this year.  I am looking forward to the Vocaloid photoshoot because Pittsburgh has an amazing skyline and wonderful places to get awesome pictures.  Its fun to be a part of something big and a great way to make some new friends.

Last year was so much fun.  I met some really awesome people and even made new friends that I hope to see this year.  I entered the Hall Cos-play last year with my Miaka cos-play and while I did not win anything it was still awesome to be a part of something and be compete side by side some pretty awesome cos-plays.  Then being on the stage for the fashion show was a lot of fun, it was an interesting feeling and something new that I never thought I would do.   The skits in the Masquerade were amazing I cannot wait to see what this year has to offer for that.  Im getting butterflies just thinking about the amazing-ness of Tekko.

Last  year the highlight for myself was getting to meet Richard Epcar, who voiced Mitsukaki on Fushigi Yuugi.  I was beyond excited and thrilled he recognized my cos-play.  It’s one thing to have other con-goers recognize your cos-play but its something different when a voice actor is excited an thrilled to see it.  I cannot wait to see the awesome cos-plays that will be there, the vocal and musical guests, and the awesome panels.   Not to mention another con to play “The Floor Is Lava!”  It’s going to be fun!  Happy Cos-playing!
